CLOUDY DAZE OVER AND OUT

The Mad-scientist group worked long hours during the hot sweltering summer months and today announced at an Inworldz press conference that all poisonous remnants lingering from the red cloud that was covering our beloved AAcme City have dissipated. It is now safe to return to AAcme City with out wearing a gas mask. The scientists could not however explain the 'red cloud' or its origin and had no answers to what side effects may linger to those citizens caught in the mist.  One citizen did report all his muscles were extremely stiff and he was experiencing lapses of memory and black out periods from time to time.  When returning to your home or shop it was suggested citizens thoroughly clean their inventory using the 'delete' system. The scientists also warned of a rat problem developing, as they had to use rats to test the 'safe' mode of the city as they worked on the removal of the poison gases in the air.  If you find a dead rat, dial 922 immediately and have a Krinzang robot perform the pick up and disposal of dead rat.  Do Not touch any dead rats yourself! Also, if an infected rat bites you dial 922 (if you have time and administer the antidote within 2 minutes) if you care to survive. Stop by the Welcome Center at AAcme City South to pick up a first aid kit that includes the antidote for those having troubles with extreme side effects wreaking havoc on their bodies and mind or if you get bitten. It was also suggested that smoking of 'Wacky Tobacky' will make citizens feel much better.  The scientists ended the conference saying they would continue to test air quality and watch the rats for any changes in their behavior.  For more information contact your City Council members or Mayor Moon.   It was also announced a city wide party to welcome every one back is being planned.  Check newspapers for date and time and location.  

Sleeping Beauty

A weary traveler arrived at IDI excited and scared as he told anyone who would listen about what he saw while passing AAcme City around the first part of June.  He heard wind howling through the night, and smelled a scent so bad he became violently ill and had to stop in his tracks.  He was miles from AAcme City but still the faint moonlight was like sunshine streaming onto a thick puffy cloud, crimson in color, that hung low above the city's skyline.  He heard an owl screech slicing into the haunting silence. The traveler run away as fast as his short little legs would carry him, not stopping until he reached the next city. He was told to go to IDI and repeat his tale, surely somewhere there would know what to do. After being fed a hot meal he continued on his way. Repeating his tale once again when he arrived at the Welcome Center, everyone began asking the stranger many questions, none of which he could answer.  Many had wondered what had become of AAcme City, as usually there is much commotion and commerce making the city thrive and alive.  A plan was made by the wisest and oldest citizens of INWORLDZ to send out a search party to investigate this strange phenomenon.  When the search party arrived the crimson cloud had dissipated but the awful stench the stranger described still lingered.  The citizens of AAcme that were outdoors and visible were frozen in their tracks, like when a movie is paused, some walking down a sidewalk, others shopping in stores, some fishing off the docks and others enjoying a day at the park.  After much discussion of what should be done, the wise men immediately radioed for a Doctor to come and examine the still life citizens.  They also requested that a scientist accompany the good Doctor to AAcme City.   Will the citizens be revived? will the awful smell be erased? and why, what or whom brought this doom upon AAcme City? 

AAcme City Loses Chief and Gains Culture

Yesterday the Mayor announced she received an resignation letter from AAcme City's recently appointed Police Chief James Stuart. The city is now with out law and order and anything could happen! Local newspapers are printing articles searching for new Chief Qualifications include 'a willing' applicant who talks well.

As the city loses its leadership and the Mayor is being slammed with an urgency by its citizens to quickly refill this position they still have something to be proud about.  Famed and noted artist 'rig torok' opened an Art Gallery "New Worldz Galleries" located on Steel Street off of Copper Street. Art Gallery curator, judith underwood, said "We are pleased to bring some culture to AAcme City with works of art in order to inform, educate and entertain the citizens." A formal Grand Opening of the Art Gallery is planned for June 14th, 4 to 6 pm serving Wine and Cheese.  All are welcomed including the homeless. 

 

AAcme Underground Reports Mayor Win and ....

Editor of the AAcme Underground Kord TwinkleStar seen sitting and chatting with AAcme Fall the day after new Mayor appointed.  They were reportedly seen laughing and enjoying some lemonade as they talked near Mr. Fall's Roboteer shop near Copper Street. Could it be AAcme Fall is now more relaxed since no longer worrying about running his city? Rumors are also circulating that Mr. Fall has hired a Public Relations Counsultant, Scarlett Qi, in hopes of winning a bid for Governor of the state.

NEW MAYOR MOON SATOSHI TAKES OVER AACME CITY

After a starling scene at the voting booth near  City Hall, hundreds of Krinzang robots marched on City Hall demanding they have a right to vote, The polls were closed promptly at Noon Sunday  in spite of the robots present..

That afternoon Moon Satoshi was declared the winner by one vote.  Both defeated candidates, AAcme Fall and Duderz 'The Dude' Lebowski demanding a recount which City Administrator Sunbeam Magic obliged and the outcome was the same... Congratulations Mayor Moon.  During the new  Mayor's acceptance speech, after thanking all who voted for her, she announced acting Police Chief James Stuart would be the city's new Police Chief and introduced her 'body guard' a rouge robot Ferrator, she also gave the City Administrator a raise in salary and promised to open a Complaint Department for citizens to voice their concerns properly through submitting a written notecard.  

Let's see if Mayor Moon will clean up the city and make it a safer place for it's citizens as her campaign promised. Rumors had it AAcme Fall and The Dude stomped away with a case of Jack Daniels to numb the shock of their loss.

Voting gets off with a bang....

picture above shows ML 'Mac' smith, Jillian2000 Quintessa and Mayorial candidate Moon Satoshi chatting after taking their turns in the Voting booth located at City Hall.  After a bomb scare threatened to delay the voting for AAcme City citizens a steady stream of voters was seen through out the day casting  their  secret ballots.  Acting Police Chief James Stuart  barricaded the area around City Hall and a bomb squad was called in to diffuse the bomb and check the city for more bombs, none which were found.  The polls opened on time at 9 am with resident Boo Zipper being the first to cast a vote.  Polls closed at noon Sunday. 

VOTING BEGINS SATURDAY MAY 21st

Greetings AAcme residents and shop keepers.  Voting for the Mayor of AAcme City starts tomorrow, Saturday, May 21st at 9 am INWORLDZ time.  Voting will be open for 2days closing at noon on May 22nd.... Your candidates, AAcme Fall, Moon Satoshi and Duderz 'The Dude' Lebowski.  All candidates are highly qualified and each has promised to work hard to make AAcme City a better place for all whomever wins.  The Voting Booth is located outside 'City Hall' ((Hall of Characters)) in South AAcme City on Bronze Street (the only street that runs through South and North AAcme City on the west end).  Make sure you have your ID papers with you as the Krinzang police will be checking your papers.

BOMB SCARE

Sunbeam Magic begins to shake with fear as she spies a large black bomb placed under one of her lovely Queen Anne dining chairs... screaming loudly she runs out of the house, down Copper street towards the Harbor Master's office in search of The Dude.
Moon Satoshi hears a blood curdling scream coming from the south part of the city....  she pokes her head out of the open window, with an evil grin she rubs her hands together before closing the window carefully.

The year is 2235....

Welcome to AAcme Steampunk City, the year is 2235.  We are a group of scientists and builders. We are quirky and work restlessly against the Evil minion robots under the control of Zerika Jinng, a rogue robot (created by AAcme Fall at the height of the petroleum wars).  He holds the key to unlocking our future, but no one can get near him. He is well guarded by the Krinzang robot army that police AAcme City.  Beware of them. They may capture you and toss you in their prisons to rot away with the rats.

Since the depletion of petroleum and the rise of the Krinzang we all live in constant fear of being destroyed by the Krinzang or our own madness.   The battle for control and to repopulate our city is a continuous struggle, but we will not give up.  Our knowledge and belief in a better future for ourselves and our children keep us strong. 

We have for now found an alternative source of energy in steam.  Our resources are few but our scientists are clever.  Looking for ways to create steam to power machines and crafts that aide us in our day to day lives and escape the ever patrolling Krinzang, has become a way of life.
